Do you need a training manual for your sales team?

A job I did this year was for a company in the security industry which was beginning to sell franchises for intruder and fire alarms. They needed a sales guide for the new franchisees who come from a variety of backgrounds, in some cases without much experience of sales.

I wrote the manual in 6 weeks and laid out step by step how to approach sales for home-security products. Since I have developed a reliable template for creating such documents I can complete the job considerably faster than someone who is attempting this for the first time.

A previous sales course was for a company which supplies engineering components, specialising in hydraulics and pneumatics. Another was for a company which supplies microwave communications equipment.
